Fickle winds both Saturday and Sunday tested the sailors at Lake Eustis Sailing Club. They managed to get in a full schedule of races, but needed an extra 2 hours of sailing on Sunday to do it.
In MC scow sailing David Moring was first, Jon Pomerleau was second, Don Francher was third and Candi Robb was the first woman.
Don Browning won the Flying Scot races with Francois Simon second and Ray Laguna third.
The Wayfarers were lead by Jim Lingeman with Dave Hepting second and Ted Benedict third.
Alejandro Illera won most of the Laser races with Sam Chapin second and Charlie Jensen third. Pearce Pomerleau was the first youth.
High School 420 teams raced on Saturday morning and practiced in the afternoon for a full day of sailing. In the racing Ben Getchell and Seth Bahr were first, Conner Kechriotis and Craig Yates second with Bart Eckhart and Jonathan Watson third.
Next week the sailing club will hold the Mid Winter Championship for the C scows and the Melges 17 boats with visitors from the cold North racing for the Championship. The following week is the MC scow Mid Winter Championship with an expected 90 boats.
Youth instructions and high school sailing will continue on Saturday.
