The Sailing Club of Central Forida

This is copied from the Jan Feb news letter. A better idea of what is going on. The previous meeting was about the local Sea Scouts and possibly working with them.

CHARTERS – We are anxiously awaiting to hear about the escapades of our sailors who sailed the seas near Antigua in early December. Hopefully Reinhard or one of his crew can give us a program so th
SPECIAL EVENTS – On Saturday evening, November 15th, there were 18 sailors at the Full Moon Sail at Lake Fairview Marina who enjoyed Bubbalous bar-b-que and sailed the near perfect 10-12 knots with no collisions. We had 32 at our Christmas party and if you missed out on the fun but would at we can see what we missed! Once the dates are set, you’ll be getting information about this year’s Sunsail/Funsails. They are a fantastic way to be introduced to sailboat chartering since they take place over a long weekend and sailing is off the Florida coast. If you are new to The Sailing Club, you may not know it but Club members have chartered sailboats and explored the islands and coasts of not only the Bahamas, but both the U.S. and British Virgin Islands, Belize and in 2000 Tahiti!

SAILING BLOG - Sam Chapin, a friend from the Lake Eustis Sailing Club, wanted our Club to know about a Central Florida sailing blog affiliated with the Orlando Sentinel. Sam has written to the blog, even mentioning our Club's recent charter to Antigua. This blog was started by a fellow sailor that is a very active member of the Central Florida Yacht Club and a very dear friend of our friends at Lake Fairview Marina. Please visit the site and encourage others to do so as well so that it remains active.
