received this from Commodore Jim Davis of the Central Florida Yacht Club inviting prospective members to their meetings. They also list possible upcoming cruises for 2009 - a great way to get your feet wet.
The Central Florida Yacht Club starts out 2009 with their first monthly meeting at 7p.m. January 14 at the Perkins Restaurant on Hwy 441 just north of Lee Rd in Orlando. The public is welcome at these meetings the second Wednesday of each month.
This months meeting will include recognizing new members, discussion of the scheduled cruises or races for each month of 2009, a special presentation on anchoring and a review last months many club outings.
Yearly dues are $30, and are paid in January. You can also visit us at our website via www.cfyc.com
Our club sails are typically the third weekend of the month.

April 4,5-Mount Dora Regatta
April 10,12,13 - ICW Marker 21 via Cocoa Village
May 15,16,17 -Gulfport to Holmes Beach/Cortez
June 12,13,14 -St Augustine Historic Sail
Sept. 11,12,13 -Caledesi Island via Anclote River, Tarpon Springs, Dunedin
Oct.10,11- Lake Dora Sail via Lake Bea Claire
Nov.13-17- Keys Trip via KOA Marina at Fiesta Key(Long Key)
Dec. 12- Potential date of CFYC Beach Ball Race, and Lake Fairview Marina's "Light Up the Lake" Christmas boat parade at Lake Fairview in Orlando
