LAKE EUSTIS SAILING CLUB

Sailboats at Lake Eustis Sailing club enjoyed good racing over the week and t hey got all the Saturday races in before the big thunderstorm.

Weekend winners for the Laser fleet was Alejandro Illera first , Rob Krentel seocnd and Sam Chapin third. The First youth was Luke Yates who won the last race on Saturday. Portsmouth winner was Ron Stevenot sailing an Omega and second was Jeffery Hayden sailing a Sunfish.

Mike Murto was the winner for the Wayfarer boats with Jim Lingeman second and Ted Benedict third.

The Flying Scot fleet was won by George Golder, second was Francois Simon, and third Chuck Smith.

MC scows racing was won by Craig Eaton. Second was John Houck and third Geoff Moehl. The first woman was Candi Robb.

Many of the MC scows from Eustis were in Augusta, Georgia at the Augusta Sailing Club Halloween Regatta. There were 47 entries in the MC scow fleet and Dave Moring of Lake Eustis was first and Robert Newland was third.

Sailing returns to Lake Eustis in two weeks with Club racing on Saturday and Sunday and on Saturday an Interscholastic 420 regatta with high school teams from about the state.
