LAKE EUSTIS SAILING CLUB

..
The Lake Eustis Sailing Club had exciting racing and capsizing over the weekend in the higher winds of the week. With the increased wind some of the "luck" in sailing goes away and three classes had the same person winning both races.

In the Wayfarer fleet James McIntyre won both races. Jim Lingeman was second and Mike Murto third. In the second race McIntyre was the only one to finish.

Henry Picco won both Flying scot races, David Asaibene second and Ray Laguna third..
In the MC scow group, Geoff Moehl won both races. Scott Tillema was second and Jon Pomerleau was third.

Races for those boats were canceled on Sunday because of even higher wind.
The Laser class races a little earlier in the day and was able to sail both days. Rob Krentel was first, Alejandro Illera second and Marc Solal third. Kevin Ratigan sailed only on Sunday and was two points ahead for that day only.

Next weekend the sailing club will host the MC scow Southeast Regional Championship with 40 boats expected.
Sailing Classes for 8 to 15 year olds in Optimist prams and for high school students in 420 sloops continues on Saturdays.
