The Lake Eustis Sailing Club was entertained by
light winds that seemed to come from all directions on Saturday and then Sunday
strong north winds brought in by the early band of tropical storm Beryl that limited
the racing to two Lasers and six Flying Scots.
The weekend winner in the MC scow fleet was David Moring followed
by Dave Johnson and Ray Walker. Jim Lingeman
lead the Wayfarers with Mike Murto was second and Charlie Jensen third. Dave Chapin won the Flying Scots. The Dean Grimes
and Joe Lobato team was second with Gus Chennells third. In the Laser group Patrick Daniel and Marc
Solal were tied after ten races and Sam Chapin was third.
The Laser fleet will continue racing every two weeks during
the summer while the other fleets have a lighter schedule until fall.
