LAKE MONROE SAILING ASSOCAITION

Wednesday night the Malibu Rum Race turned into a flat out drag race, literally. Due to this weekend's Mug Race, only 2 boats showed up to race. LMSA will have 8 or 9 boats in the race this weekend and most of them were on trailers being prepped as the Rum Race started. Winds were 12 knots out of the North and it made for a 1 tack race. Lough Bouy, started first by 1 minute over Show Me, but the boats were neck and neck at the turning mark. The return to the romance marks was a test of boat speed and both boats crossed the line almost dead even. Congratulations to Mike L. and Lance for their victory.
