This past weekend the Lake Eustis Sailing Club had more wind trouble with too much on Saturday causing multiple capsizes and broken boat parts followed by light shifty winds on Sunday that tested the sailors skill. MC scow weekend winner was Ray Walker, second was David Helmick with Bob Cole third. The Flying Scots were led by Ray Laguna with Gus Chennells second. Dean Grimes and Joe Lobato were third. Jim McIntyre was first in the Wayfarers, Dave Hepting second and Mike Murto third.
The Laser winner was Rob Krentel. Luke Yates was second and the first youth. Tom Rhodes was third. Claire Epaillard was the first woman.
Youth sailing instruction continues every Saturday and club racing returns in two weeks.

ReplyDeleteGood work for organizing a close competition with such weather,this really tested the skill and competence of the sailors making it more competitive. I believe this is the right course to take.
