LAKE EUSTIS SAILING CLUB

Fifty six sailors from thirteen states gathered at the Lake Eustis Sailing Club this past weekend for the 39th Annual MC Scow Midwinter Championship races.
They managed two races on Monday and another two on Friday, but were frustrated by the variable winds of Saturday and settled for the four race total. Andy Fox of Chuluota, Florida came out as the new champion with Jim Gluek of Wisconsin second and Ted Keller of Michigan third.
The fleet was divided into age groups with Ted Keller first in the under 50. Andy Fox was on top in the 50 to 60 group. Skip Moorhouse won the 60 to 70 and Bob Miller of Michigan in the over 70. Jessie Haverstock was 15th overall and the only woman.
Club racing returns next weekend with youth instruction on Saturday.
