LAKE MONROE SAILING ASSOCIATION

Hope everyone had a safe and a Happy Fourth of July. Let's give it up for Sanford for the best fireworks display in Central Florida! Whether you were on the docks or out on a boat, it was incredible.

This week is a slow week for the LMSA crowd with a Rum Race this Wednesday July 8th. All sailors are invited to participate in the Rum Race which starts at 6:30pm when all boats must cross the romance marks. The course and rules are simple for those who have not participated in a while.

1.) Over the line by 6:30pm. (between the two PVC Rivership Romance Markers close to the east side of marina isle)
2.) Head towards the #8 Navigational Marker (this is the triangle marker near the I-4 bridge it has a number 8 on it)
3.) Very important to round the #8 marker to starboard, meaning the marker must be on your starboard (right) side when you round.
4.) Head back towards the Romance Markers and cross between the PVC pipes.
5.) Keep you own time. This must be reported to the Fleet Captain or Commodore at Lemon cello's.
6.) The winning LMSA boat will receive a bottle of Cruzan Rum.

Hope to see you out there!
