Meet in the parking lot between 5:30 and 6:00PM for sailing instructions and where to turn in your boats time. VILLAGES SAILING CLUB

The Villages Sailing Club will take the Summer off and return with meeting in September.

LAKE MONROE SAILING ASSOCIATION

The storms seemed that they would put a stop to the Lake Monroe Sailing Associations Wednesday Night Rum Race last night but we were all fooled. The nasty afternoon storms would stay to the west as only three boats set out to race for the rights to a bottle of Cruzan Rum.

Jeff Shelby's Vivacity 24 name "THE" and Mac's Catalina 22 "Sea 22" dueled it out to the finish line for Jeff's first win on the Rum Course! "No One" was only a spectator boat in this on as Diane Forrest guided the Precision 27 around the course as a practice run for another night.

Congratulations once again to The Lake Monroe Sailing Association's newest member Jeff Shelby!

See you all on Saturday.
