The Lake Eustis Sailing Club’s races over the weekend had miserable light wind with glassy water on Saturday, hardy getting any races in.  On Sunday the winds shifted around a lot, but filled in for some exciting racing and a few capsizes.

MC scow leader was Ron Reeves followed by David Leather, and Candi Robb.

Larry Klick was the first Flying Scot.  Dean Grimes and Joe Lobato were second with Gus Chennells third.

The Wayfarer group leader was Jim Lingeman, Ted Benedict second and Mike Murto third.

First in Laser fleet was Sam Chapin.  Marc Solal was second and Dave Chapin third.
Club 420 winner was Max Epaillard, Luke Yates next and Cameron Smith third.

Instruction for Youth continues every Saturday and club racing returns in 2013

The Lake Eustis Sailing Club was challenged by brisk winds with lulls and big shifts that made it important to shift gears and change sail shaped to keep up speed through the changing conditions.  The 18 boat MC scow fleet found people winning one race and then at the bottom of the group in the next.   MC scow winner over the weekend was Craig Eaton with Jeff Nicholas second and Bob Cole third.  Larry Klick was first in Fling Scots followed by Dean Grimes and Joe Lobato with François Simeon third.   Jim Lingeman lead the Wayfarer fleet with Jason Buehle second and David Hepting third.   Laser group leader was Rob Krentel followed by Sam Chapin and Randy Rea.

Club racing returns in two weeks and youth instruction continues very weekend.
